I'm sure you've all been wondering, where have I been??
Well....I've been here, just doing other things that have diverted me a little...but then again, life itself is enough of a detour. Though food, is always there....hehehe.
And let's face it, sometimes your heart and mind isn't always 100% in the task at hand. Which then means, that what you're doing is not 100%.
So for me, this is a sign that I need to take a break from what I'm doing and 'refresh'. This can take a few hours, days or weeks. Sometimes, it is very necessary to just back away from things, because your mind, body and soul is in overload. Which, my friends, is not a good thing.
This is something that we all need to be mindful of. Taking the time to assess how you are. Then, depending on what the 'thing' is, take the time that you need to step away - or at least reduce the time involved, if possible. Once you have found that balance, you're ready to get back into to the swing of things.
I always say this to people. People that I have helped in the past as a nurse or nutritionist -
If you're not well (mind, body and soul), then how can you be there for your family and friends?
I know that this blog post doesn't have much to do with food, but it does involve one of the many aspects that influence/affect our health and well-being.
Being happy, content, relaxed and fulfilled with what you are doing.
These things are what allow you to keep going, even when things get a little difficult and not lose motivation. Even if you do lose a little bit of motivation, it'll come back. Just don't give up on it. You can always go back to finish what you started!
So, to those of you who feel like you've lost your way...go back to what you love.
Swimming.....and so on.
Find what makes you YOU!
