    karate fun

Being healthy isn't just about eating well, small portions, or keeping away from the 'naughty' foods. It is also about exercising both the body and mind. This weekend I had the opportunity to do just that...to challenge myself both physically and mentally, which was a little harder than usual this weekend - as I am mentally tired from my studies and heading into exam week...well do I need to say more. I may not have been able to work at my best, I did give it the best that I

    Chilean summer drink/dessert...Mote con Huesillo

When I think of this drink...it always takes me back to being in Chile visiting my family in the summer...this is something that you would be served at anyone’s house or, you could buy when out and about in the streets of Santiago. I found that this is a great little snack, as it is low in sugar but full of flavour (and n

    What do these ingredients do???

This banana smoothie is great for when you’re feeling a bit hungry, have a lot to do but don't feel like having a sandwich or a heavy meal. It will keep you full for several hours and give you the energy that you need. You can make it vegan/lactose free, replacing the milk with whatever you choose to substitute it with. If you still want to have a creamy texture but don't want to, or can't use milk, avocado is a great substitute if mixed with almond/rice milk or coconut water
